Medical microbiology is a branch of medicine concerned with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. This is a peer reviewed medical journal that includes a wide range of topics in this fields including Bacteriology, Clinical and Medical Diagnostics, Parasitology, Bacterial Infections and creates a platform for the authors to make their contribution towards the journal. The editorial office promises a thorough peer review of the submitted manuscripts to ensure quality.

Journal of Medical Microbiology & Diagnosis is one of the best open access journals that aims to publish the most complete and reliable source of information on discoveries and current developments in the mode of original articles, review articles, case reports, short communications, etc. in the field and provides online access to the researchers worldwide without any restrictions or subscription charges.

This scholarly publishing journal is using Editorial Tracking System for quality in the review process. Editorial Tracking is an online manuscript submission, review that tracks the progress of the article. Review processing is performed by the editorial board members of Journal of Medical Microbiology & Diagnosis or outside experts; at least two independent reviewer’s approval followed by the editor is required for the acceptance of any citable manuscript. Authors may submit manuscripts and track their progress through the system, hopefully to publication. Reviewers can download manuscripts and submit their opinions to the editor. Editors can manage the whole submission/review/revise/publish process.

Clinical Microbiology

Clinical microbiology is the study of micro organisms that caused infections and diseases to Human and other animals. It is an adaptation of microbiological techniques to the study of etiological agents of infectious disease. It often deals with hospital-acquired and public-health problems that affect both hospital and community. It is related to the laboratory diagnosis of human and animal infections and the role of the laboratory in both the management of infectious diseases and the elucidation of the epidemiology of infections. The latest developments in clinical microbiology and immunology, providing the current state of knowledge in the field, as well as balanced, thought-provoking perspectives on controversial issues.

Microbiology and Pathology

Microbiology is the study of microscopic organisms. They may be unicellular, multicellular or acellular. Pathology is the branch of medical sciences that deals with the examination of organs, tissues, and body fluids for the diagnosis of disease. Pathology describes the scientific study of disease which can be described as any abnormailty that is causing changes in the structure or function of body parts. In pathology, the causes, mechanisms and extent of disease may be examined. The resulting changes in the structure or function of a body part and significance of the disease is also considered.

Microbiology and Immunology Research

Microbiology research reports on prokaryotic and eukaryotic microorganisms such as yeasts, fungi, bacteria and protozoa. It also deals with the interactions between pathogenic microorganisms and hosts. Immunologic research represents a unique medium for the presentation, interpretation, and clarification of complex scientific data. The scope of coverage extends to cellular immunology, immunogenetics, molecular and structural immunology, immunoregulation and autoimmunity, immunopathology, tumor immunology, host defense and microbial immunity, including viral immunology, immunohematology, mucosal immunity, complement, transplantation immunology, clinical immunology, neuroimmunology, immunoendocrinology, immunotoxicology, translational immunology, and history of immunology.

Industrial Microbiology

Industrial microbiology is the use of microbes in industrial processes like industrial fermentation, waste-water treatment. It is linked to industry. It deals with screening, improvement, management and exploitation of microorganisms for production. It is useful for the production of end products on a large scale. Industrial microbiology includes the use of microorganisms to manufacture food or industrial products in large quantities. Numerous microorganisms are used within industrial microbiology; these include naturally occurring organisms, laboratory selected mutants, or even genetically modified organisms.

clinical Microbial Pathology

clinical pathology is concerned with the diagnosis of disease based on laboratory analysis of body fluids like urine and blood. It deals with the tools of microbiology like macroscopic, microscopic, analyzers and cultures. It covers microbiology, host-pathogen interaction and immunology related to infectious agents, including bacteria, fungi, viruses and protozoa. It also accepts papers in the field of clinical microbiology, with the exception of case reports. The pathogenesis of a disease is the biological mechanism  that lead to the diseased state. It also describe the origin and development of the disease, and whether it is acute, chronic, or recurrent.

Mycology

Mycology is the study of fungi includes its genetic and biochemical properties, their taxonomy, they are used as a source for tinder, medicine, wine, cheese and ethenogens. Fungi produce toxins, antibiotics and other secondary metabolites. It includes the  study of fungi, including their genetic and biochemical properties, their taxonomy and their use to humans as a source for tinder, medicine, wine, cheese and entheogens, as well as their dangers, such as poisoning or infection. Diagnosis and treatment of Infectious Disease

Infectious diseases are caused by several microorganisms. Different types of laboratory tests are useful for identification of microorganism are stained and examining, cultured, tested for antibodies to organism and testing for genetic material. Other sample tests like sputum, stool and swabs are also sent for testing. Drugs that are used in treatment are clindamycin, cipro oral, metronidazole, ciprofloxacin, tetracyclin, gentamycin, amphotericin B and many more. Infectious diseases are disorders caused by organisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi or parasites. Many organisms live in and on our bodies. They are normally harmless or even helpful, but under certain conditions, some organisms may cause disease.

Principles of Diagnosis

Diagnosis helps in identifying the disease and its cause. It includes manifestations of infection (interaction between host and microorganism), microbial causes of infection, specimen selection, collection, processing and microbiological examination. By these steps the diagnosis completes and reports are shown to physician to start the appropriate treatment. The principal diagnosis is defined as the diagnosis established after study to be chiefly responsible for occasioning the patient’s episode of care in hospital. In some cases, the principal diagnosis is described in terms of a treatment for an ongoing condition for example, care involving dialysis or rehabilitation.

Microbiology and Immunology

Microbiology is the study of microorganisms that are unicellular, multicellular or acellular. Immunology deals with the study of aspects of immune systems in all microorganisms. It is a branch of biomedical sciences. Microbiology and Immunology is an association with the Japanese Society for Bacteriology, the Japanese Society for Virology, and the Japanese Society for Host Defense Research. The immune system is divided into those which are static, or innate to the organism, and those which are responsive, or adaptive to a potential pathogen or foreign substance. The innate system of immunity is on evolutionary terms, the older system that forms the first line of defence.
