Costs for Price Per Character
Many clients who have content in a character based language such as Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Japanese or Korean, struggle to estimate the amount of words they will end up within their final translation.
At Straker, we are always looking for ways to ensure we price our translations in ways that benefit our clients so we have calculation methods to help you out. If you prefer us to work out the equivalent word counts for you, simply upload your documents for a free quote or email us and we can get back to you in a few minutes.
Per Hour Translations
Almost every other translation company quotes prices on the basis of word volume, how many words you need to translate multiplied by a per word rate for the language pair. For a first time, or one-off job this model can make sense as it is often the best metric and you have a guaranteed price. However, in the long term this model costs clients a lot more.
At Straker, we link the economic cost of the translation service to the time it takes to complete the translation – then focus on improving the efficiency of delivering the service (speed of translation). In most cases has the outcome of significantly dropping the price for our clients. They get a faster translation for a lower cost. To get per hour pricing please contact email@example.com
